Friday (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)

  • Participants will deliver brief presentations on STEM strategies using video clips and will receive feedback from the small group BER facilitators
  • Practice presentations will provide the perfect opportunity to listen and interact to deepen understanding, familiarity and confidence with the material
  • Debriefing of presentations and feedback from the lead instructors will strengthen participants’ skills in training
  • Participants will leave with a training plan, model video clips and confidence to implement a state-of-the-art STEM training with staff

Brad Fulton is a highly experienced, current classroom teacher and popular national expert and trainer on incorporating STEM and Project Based Learning into grades K-8 classrooms. Known throughout the country for motivating and engaging teachers and students, he is a frequent STEM and Project Based Learning presenter at conferences and schools and was selected as his state’s educator of the year. Brad has co-authored over a dozen books for teachers and is featured in the video series you will receive as a part of this training, Practical Strategies for Using Project Based Learning to Enhance Your STEM Instruction (Grades K-8). Based on his implementation experiences, Brad has a wealth of ideas, projects and strategies to help you start, develop or refine your own STEM program. Sonya Heineman Kunkel Jaime Bailey is a dynamic and outstanding national presenter and classroom teacher with years of experience in working with grades K-8 students and teachers. She is an expert in STEM instruction and finding innovative, unique ways to teach students the critical skills they need to succeed. She is passionate about incorporating STEM instruction using Project Based Learning as an amazing way to capture students’ natural curiosity while teaching them the STEM skills they need to be successful learners. Drawing from her classroom experiences, Jaime’s trainings are filled with highly effective strategies, ideas and tips you can use immediately to train and support teachers in developing their own STEM instruction.
